That’s when I discovered the Vintage Cycling Club, a community of enthusiasts dedicated to preserving the history and artistry of cycling.

Con una mezcla de entusiasmo y curiosidad, me puse en contacto con el club y sus miembros me dieron una calurosa bienvenida. Me contaron sus propias aventuras en bicicleta, pasadas y presentes, y supe que había encontrado mi tribu. Retroceder en el tiempo

Como nuevo socio, estaba ansioso por experimentar la emoción de montar en una bicicleta de época. El club organizaba paseos regulares en los que los socios se ponían atuendos apropiados para la época y montaban en bicicletas de diferentes épocas. Desde las bicicletas de ruedas altas de finales del siglo XIX hasta las elegantes bicicletas de carreras de los años 50, cada paseo era un viaje en el tiempo.

Una de mis experiencias más memorables fue montar en una Penny Farthing, también conocida como rueda alta. Mantener el equilibrio sobre esa gigantesca rueda delantera mientras pedaleaba furiosamente era a la vez estimulante y aterrador. Me hizo sentir un nuevo aprecio por la habilidad y la valentía de los ciclistas del pasado.

Uno de los momentos más destacados de mi estancia en el club fue mi participación en un evento de ciclismo de época.
